Son of a veteran actor, Soji Jacobs and Elizabeth Douglas tied the nuptial knot in Lagos yesterday, 21st July, 2018.

The groom is the first child of popular Nollyhood couple, Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva.

The wedding ceremony was graced by numerous actors in and out of the Nollyhood movie industry.

Police Officer assaults mother and Baby

One Frederick Amanor Skalla, is currently at the Police Headquarters awaiting possible prosecution for indecent assault.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Skalla, was seen virtually punching and slapping a nursing mother in a banking hall.

Reports suggest the woman, who is yet to be identified, had gone to the Midland Savings and Loans to withdraw an amount of money.

She, however, reported a little late after banking hours and was asked to leave. The woman who was clutching to her baby is reported to have pleaded with the bank officials to allow her cash her money.

For daring to appeal, Frederick Amanor Skalla, was asked to send her out of the banking hall and he did that in a Rambo-style.

Shatta Wale will soon go mad--Bukom Banku

Some Ghanaians have questioned the mental stability of Shatta Wale with regards to his weird attitude towards stakeholders in the Ghana music industry, including bloggers.

Recently, Achipalago who used to be a close pal of the Dancehall artiste has once begged Ghanaians to pray for Shatta Wale or take him to a psychiatric hospital for checkup. After making this noble suggestion, fans of Shatta as usual chastised Achipalago from all angles.

Well, the latest personality to question the mental health of Shatta Wale is popular Ghanaian boxer, Bukom Banku.

According to the boxer, Shatta Wale has gone for an occultic powers to help him gain popularity, adding the spirit would soon take over his mind.

He added that, Shatta Wale intentionally leaked the obscene video or better still blowjob viral video via Snapchat because he has started losing his mind. Bukom Banku said this in a video he shared on his social media platform.

“I told Ghanaians that Shatta Wale is going crazy, he went for a bad spirit and the spirit is worrying him and the spirit wants to kill him.

“Shatta Wale has disgrace Ghanaians and himself after releasing that unfortunate video,” Bukom Banku said.

Shatta Wale has thrown a word of caution to his boss Nana Appiah Mensah to get him an air conditioned office at Zylofon Media. Wale, probably bored out of his mind, took to social media to fire off some nonsensical posts about his label. Wale claims his office at the label has no air conditioning and he needs one installed ASAP. “So my office for Zylofon ,no air condition deh am not happy at all ..oh wow .. NAM1 come and save me oooo lol … ” he posted.

Young entrepreneur donates security cameras to Ghana Police

President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on February 11, 2018 announced government’s plans to install security cameras in all the police stations spread across the 216 districts in the country.

The move according to the Vice President forms part of efforts by the government to retool the Police Service and enhance security at police posts following attacks on some police stations.

However, an illustrious businessman, Nana Kweku Ofori Atta is already living up to the president’s words that says “We should be citizens and not spectators”.

The young Ghanaian entrepreneur and CEO of Avcontech has however distributed security cameras and accessories worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to more than five police stations in Accra.

With an innate motivation to help the government deal with the upsurge in robbery cases and attacks at police stations, Nana Kweku Ofori Atta has visited seven police stations to donate CCTV cameras and accessories.

The beneficiaries are the Tesano District Police Headquarters, Osu District Police Headquarters, La Police District Headquarters and Nima and the Kwabenya Police stations which was attacked by some unknown men recently.

When asked on why he has taken up such philanthropic works, Nana Kweku Ofori Atta explained that he feels mandated as a citizen to help the government combat crime and enhance the security situation in the country.

"Nana Akufo-Addo said in his statement during his swearing in as president of the Republic that, we should not be spectators but good citizens and on that merit I think I am supposed to help protect the integrity of our country in terms of assisting certain agencies to tighten the security apparatus of our country”. I embarked on this journey even before the vice president made the statement. Indeed my initiative has fallen on good grounds".

Nana’s works didn’t go unnoticed as the Tesano, Osu and Nima District police commanders have commended Avcontech Security for donating CCTV cameras to the various stations.

Other police and security chiefs such as Inspector General of Police, David Asante Appeatu and CID boss, DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah have also lauded the efforts of the young businessman.

Minister of Information, Mustapha Hamid, Director of Diasporan Relations at the Office of the Presidency, Akwasi Awua Ababio and Deputy Interior Minister, Henry Quartey have also commended the businessman for his good works for Mother Ghana.

Earth Will Not Be Hit By A 'Massive Geomagnetic Storm' On March 18 Despite Sensationalist Reports

Recent reports may have over exaggerated reports that Earth will be hit by a massive magnetic storm on March 18. Space weather forecasts show that this isn't the case but that wasn't what the news headlines said.

Magnetic storms could be disruptive for electronics on Earth.

National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration

Newsweek contacted the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and found that there was no basis for recent reports saying Earth would be hit by a massive geomagnetic storm.

Speaking to the head of NOAA's Space Weather Forecast Center, they were told that this isn't possible. Recent forecasts in space weather have been relatively quiet, with the Sun not exhibiting any signs of sending a magnetic storm towards Earth.

One of the sources of a massive magnetic storm is the misinterpretation of data released by Russia's Lebedev Institute which shows activity that may turn into a minor storm. NOAA released similar information in its forecast of upcoming space weather.

One article suggested that this storm may show cracks in Earth's magnetic field. Massive geomagnetic storms can disrupt communications throughout the world. Another article reported that the storm would be able to cause headaches and dizziness.

Geomagnetic Storms

Geomagnetic storms are caused when events such as solar flares can send higher than normal levels of radiation towards Earth. This radiation interacts with the Earth's magnetic field causing a geomagnetic storm.

Effects from the geomagnetic storm can range from the appearance of auroras or the northern and southern lights to disruptions in communications systems due to high radiation. This would make it difficult to communicate with others on Earth.

Geomagnetic storms are classified according to a scale that measures the effect that storms will have. At its safest level, a G1 storm affects power grids by causing weak fluctuations, minor impacts on satellite operations, and causes the northern and southern lights to occur. At its most extreme, G5, there would be voltage control problems with some grid system collapses or blackouts, radio waves wouldn't be able to travel for one to two days, low-frequency radio would be out for hours, and the auroras would be able to be seen at lower latitudes than usual.

NOAA currently has no warnings about space weather conditions. In 1859, a geomagnetic storm was so large that it messed with telegraph wires in the U.S. and Europe causing induced voltage increases, and also shocked telegraph operators and started fires.
